Christoff Reserve#22 is my first reserve of exceptional extra virgin olive oil! 

I wanted to share some of my favorite olive oils that I have been buying and using in my kitchen year after year. There are some great small producers, creating excellent products and I wanted to start with some of the best from the United States!  

My first Christoff Reserve had to be from Bondolio. I fell in love with their story when I toured their small farm in Winters, California several years ago.  They are so unique in the United States because they have imported their tree stock from Sicily. This oil is a beautiful blend of Sicilian varietals of Biancolilla, Cerasuola and Nocellara. These are not the typical cultivars that are grown in California!  They are estate grown and milled on their own farm within 90 minutes of picking. They adhere to the highest standards and consistently produce an exceptional oil. This oil is certified USDA organic and certified by the COOC -California Olive Oil Council, they also grow and produce abiding by sustainable agricultural practices. 

I also want to share a portion of your purchase to our first animal charity  Little Red Dog, Inc out of Laguna Hills, California.  My goal is to share $1 from each purchase to an animal charity in the area of the producer to give back a bit in their community on your behalf! We love animals and applaud the organizations who do their best to take care of animals in need. 

Since this is our first Reserve we have decided to do something special and donate a further $1 from each bottle sold to Angel Flight, This is a charity that is personally near and dear to the owners of Bondolio. Angel flight offers free air transportation to people in need of medical services and pilots offer their free time to transport people. The owners of Bondolio personally offer their time to pilot for Angel Flight.  Once I learned this was so important to them, I couldn't imagine not sharing a portion with their favorite charity as well.
